On January 23, 2020, Officers and staff of Saint Francis of Assisi College Las Piñas and Saint Anthony School Las Piñas, in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Tanauan City , distributed relief packs to more than 500 families affected by the eruption of Taal volcano last January 12.
The school’s “Share-a-Care” donation drive is a concerted effort of the students, parents, employees and other donors from the Anthonian and Franciscan Communities. Each relief pack contains rice, canned goods, drinking water, noodles, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap and shampoo.
Tanauan City Vice Mayor, Atty. Germinigildo G. Trinidad, Jr., personally assisted our team in distributing the relief goods. Our team gave the assistance to evacuation areas identified by the LGU to be receiving insufficient relief goods. Other SFAC and SAS campuses are also scheduled for relief operations in the succeeding weeks.
