“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.
Stress, anxiety, and exhaustion; there is no denying that online classes can cause these things. It is not helping that the whole “COVID” situation is not improving. To help the students, the teachers, and the parents to drive out these negativities, Saint Francis of Assisi College – Sta. Rosa Campus held a virtual valentine concert featuring the performances of their very own Franciscans and a Dear M.O.R session that gave a chance to those who want to confess and need advice.
The Virtual Valentine Concert was held on February 26, live at SFAC Santa Rosa’s Facebook page. After the opening ceremony, the program continued with performances from students from different levels such as Pinky Love by Kirsten Agnas and Atasha Seow, Narda by Lanibelle Ramos, Can’t Help Falling In Love by Mykaella Barretto, Red Flavor by Rain Gracilla and Sophia Desamito, and Pretty Savage by Paulen Endaya and Abigail Ibañez. After these talented people left the audience in awe, the program then proceeds to the Dear M.O.R. session where the guest speaker, Zep Lepasana, a youth leader who helped the viewers deal with their emotional baggage. Needless to say, the students and teachers enjoyed it and it helped a great deal especially for their mental and emotional health.
The concert ended with a sweet performance from the Ramos sisters and it melted the hearts of everyone who is watching. With that, the Franciscans felt refreshed and recharged – ready to tackle all the challenges ahead.
