Anthonians celebrate Nutrition Month 2019

Saint Anthony School of Los Baños held the annual Nutrition Month celebration with the focal theme, “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo…Push natin ‘to!”. Many students participated in the various contests and events.

The activities on the first day, July 29, were the Nutri-Quiz Bee, Color-me Best for Pre-school, Slogan and Collage Poster Making for Intermediate, Essay writing, Slogan and Poster making for Junior Highschool. On the second day, July 30, activities, such as the Cook Fest, Nutri-Games, and Nutri-Exhibit were  conducted.. The last day, July 31,  highlighted the most awaited Trashion show of Senior High School students showcasing their creativity and resourcefulness in eco-friendly trendy clothes.  In the afternoon, there was the Zumba Fitness, that was attended by at least 200 students, teachers and parents.

More than simply conscientizing the Anthonian community on eating the right food and exercising to keep healthy, the SAS brought to fore newer perspective into the celebration that improved nutrition: potentially influences student’s academic performance and increases brain function;  provides for better behavior and learning environment; and promotes positive school outcome.
